What each section does for your filing
Scope of engagement. States what was asked and what was searched, so the record shows the search was defined before it began.
Sources examined. Every source consulted, with the date searched and the result, including sources that returned nothing. This is the evidence of diligence under Estates Code §202.052.
Heirs identified. Each person, their relationship to the decedent, and their verification status, with contact details supplied separately to the engaging party.
Verification. The attestation of a reviewer independent of the researcher, with a signature block for the file.
Document verification. A hash tied to an immutable snapshot of the case file. Any party can confirm the report has not been altered since issue.
